to circular economy. Slovenian companies show interest in the standardization
of these fields, seeing in this a potential for growth through spreading the
existing good practices. In this context, the importance of active cooperation
between the stakeholders and strengthening of their awareness should be
highlighted once again.
6.
The opportunity to strengthen its competitiveness through the standardiza-
tion of administrative procedures is offered to Slovenia in multiple fields. It is
therefore justified to propose a systematic review of the crucial fields of
standardization of administrative procedures in public institutions, benchmarking with
selected good practice examples from other countries, and filling the quality
and reliability gaps of administrative procedures by means of standardization,
wherever and whenever possible.

Although quality was not specifically comprised in the survey, particularly that
of services, in-depth interviews highlighted the need to define (e.g. in the limit
and new areas of internet operation, tourism, etc.), and to primarily enforce the
service quality standards, which bring the highest and also the most growing
share of GDP and added value per employee. This is an important aspect of
added-value growth and the growth – or at least the maintaining – of salaries
and the welfare of employees in the services sector (tourism, other service
industries, R&D institutions, intellectual and financial services, as well as
healthcare, schooling, and education in general).
