AN ANALYSIS INTO THE IMPACT OF STANDARDS ON THE OPERATION OF SLOVENIAN COMPANIES
The questionnaire contained 63 variables, which mainly measured the response
of the respondents based on the Likert 5-stage scale. For the purpose of
statistical analysis of the search for differences between groups, the variables
were treated as an ordinal measurement scale. Two nonparametric statistical
methods of searching for differences between groups were carried out. First
the Kurskal-Wallis H test (alpha = 5%) was made to establish whether there
exist differences among all the groups; then, the Mann-Whitney Utest (alpha
= 0.85%, alpha adjusted for type I error) was made to determine differences
between individual groups. For graphic illustration purposes, the results were
also processed as an interval scale.
In the third part of the research, examples of good practices are presented.
Two Slovenian companies are presented in detail, with the good practices
examples additionally highlighting the specific fields in which standardization is
not fully developed yet. Identification of the companies was made by means of
in-depth interviews, while identification of specific fields was made by means of
both in-depth interviews and the results of the questionnaire.
