AN ANALYSIS INTO THE IMPACT OF STANDARDS ON THE OPERATION OF SLOVENIAN COMPANIES
SIST should be involved as auditor in the process of developing laws and
regulations and check the accuracy of statements, since mistakes often occur
in publishments of legal standards.
In addition, the standards that are prescribed by law are often obsolete, which
can be prevented by an undated reference to standards.
This could be tackled by introducing into the law an additional Article which would
allow the use of updated editions of the same standard, not just the specified edition.
For fruitful international cooperation, SIST should also be informed about the
standardization of the Asian market. With the increasing presence of Asian
countries (India, Japan, South Korea, China, etc.) on our market, SIST should enable
to its members to train on standardization in those areas, and also to purchase
those countries’ standards.
